As The White Lotus enters its third season, modern furniture and decor label CB2’s resort-inspired homeware collection brings the show’s visual universe to life
As audiences anxiously await the second episode of the long-anticipated third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, CB2 is allowing viewers to bring the show home. One of several brands to launch a collection indulging our collective White Lotus mania (others include the luxury luggage brand Away and apothecary skincare label Kiehl’s), the collaboration speaks for itself—an assemblage of lush, mural-esque textiles and vibrant tableware fit for royalty. Following its premiere in 2021, Mike White’s dramedy, which set its first season at an eponymous resort in Hawaii, took audiences by storm. The show returned one year later for its second season, which, riddled with steamy affairs, built tension over seven episodes that boiled over into an all-out heist finale, culminating in the ill-fated death of the beloved character, Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge). For its third season, which premiered last night, the show heads to Thailand, the iconography and opulence of which served as the inspiration for the visual language of CB2’s latest collaboration.
With throw pillow and wallpaper motifs that at first glance resemble damask, but at closer look display elephants and serpentine sea creatures, the collection at once captures the show’s paradisiacal idyll and the seductiveness that lurks beneath. These prints are also an homage to the show’s opening credits, and White’s sprinkling of clues throughout each episode which foreshadow larger mysteries within the plot. Other pieces, like vintage-inspired etched glassware, bold dinner trays, and brass cocktail picks are reminiscent of gift shop mementos that hold memories of travels past. As viewers tune in for the show’s third season, the vibrant ensembles of CB2’s tactile collaboration with the HBO series bring the show’s air of luxury to life. The collection’s seductive colors and prints invite guests to reach out and touch, or take a closer look—as the series teaches us, so much more is revealed after an initial glance.
