"There's a lot of freedom in solitude": Voices from all corners of the city on finding joy and connection while in isolation
With their latest short film Pause, Gillian Zinser and Lindsay Van Dyke have created an ode to New York’s resilience and comity in the time of coronavirus. Combining intimate portraits of the cityscape with audio interviews with New Yorkers, the project is a chance to “remind ourselves of the power of our communion,” Zinser says. It also affords us the chance to “reflect on the duality of both extreme isolation and extraordinary connectivity in New York during the lockdown.”
