Attended by an audience of family, friends, and one very chic Chihuahua, the screening and panel provided a touching look at how Bensadoun and his young star pulled off their latest cinematic endeavor.

On Monday evening, filmmaker Douglas Bensadoun and Document Journal invited friends and family to a special debut screening of Bensadoun’s newest short film, Popper Fly at NeueHouse in Madison Square. The 11-minute film traverses a frozen landscape, sharing a narrative about a young girl on her emotional journey of grief as she memorializes a loved one, honoring the intergenerational traditions that define family. The NeueHouse’s screening room created an intimate space to showcase the piece, followed by an audience Q&A and reception. Attendees included Document’s editor-in-chief Nick Vogelson, creative and fashion director Sarah Richardson, Douglas Bensadoun, Popper Fly’s young star Sloan Bensadoun, designer Camilla Stærk, model Sara Grace Wallerstedt, actor and designer Waris Ahluwalia, and a very chic chihuahua sporting an orange Louis Vuitton sweater.
