Document kicked off the holiday season on November 26 with an intimate dinner on the 17th floor of Public, the Ian Schrager-owned and Herzog & de Meuron-designed hotel located in New York’s Lower East Side. Grace Coddington, photographers Mario Sorrenti, Ming Smith, Janette Beckman, and Theo Wenner, fashion designers Jason Wu and Camilla Staerk, writer Marlon James, musicians Julia Cumming and Suzanne Vega, and models Hanne Gaby Odiele, Mayowa Nicholas, and Kiki Willems were among the guests at the event, where they chatted over wine and roasted chicken while reading through Document Issue 15. Afterwards, dinner guests headed upstairs to The Roof at Public, for a DJ set by Cumming, where partygoers danced with a view overlooking the Manhattan skyline until the early hours of the morning.
