Featuring chunky-chic UGG clogs from their recent collaboration, Eckhaus Latta experiments with asymmetrical tailoring and sequined adorning.
Designers Zoe Latta and Mike Eckhaus have been known for several signature elements in Eckhaus Latta’s past collections: experiments with materials and texture, asymmetric proportions and gender-fluid designs. Eckhaus Latta’s Spring/Summer 2020 show did not shy away from these themes, however, several new aspects made their runway debut. Sequins, frill, and eyelets took the spotlight as the newcomers of their SS20 show. Featuring nearly 40 looks, Eckhaus and Latta challenged their aversion to these design aspects, resulting in blue and orange sequins pieces, and even a ruffled A-line mini dress.
The brand’s love affair with slashed knitwear manifested as net tanks and wrap skirts in this collection alongside several striped pattern designs and their familiar muted color palette. Sleek and refined, this collection showcased the true versatility of these designers. Eckhaus Latta styled these designs on their modeling regulars such as Paloma Elsesser, Coco Gordon Moore, and Hari Nef.
Recently creating a new collaboration with Ugg, New York’s indie darling is quickly growing into a ready-to-wear brand with universal interest.
