Model (and puppeteer) Leah Ogawa created a puppet in her own likeness, and Puppets and Puppets supplied the matching outfits. Watch the spectacle unfold.
From the mind of Carly Mark and Ayla Argentina came a spellbinding happening inside the Prince George Ballroom on Sunday evening. Since her recent diversion from the artwork that she’s known for, Mark, as well as Argentina have created their own mystical, baroque fantasy which they invited editors and friends to observe. Acclaimed chef Danny Bowien sauntered down the runway in a white unitard with a lion’s mane fashioned out of white feathers, while another model stomped the runway with pink and blue egg crates adhered to the bottoms of their loafers. The garments were whimsical, over the top, and completely original.
For Puppets and Puppets’ second collection, Document decided to yoke (pun intended) in the maximalist nature of the trailblazing brand by throwing a third “puppet” into the mix. In this exclusive video, model and puppeteer Leah Ogawa created a puppet akin to her own likeness to go backstage before the show. They were both fitted with matching red bedazzled shirts emblazoned with the brand’s logo, white dress shirts, and long wide leg green velvet pants—all supplied by the brand, and sat front row to watch the spectacle.
