With the New York City skyline behind them, the models from the show shared their best Saint Laurent walk. Before the first snakeskin boot hit the marble runway of the Saint Laurent Men’s Spring/Summer 2019 show, Document filmed an exclusive backstage tribute to the romantic lawlessness at play in Anthony Vaccarello’s collection. The models danced and scowled as the sun set over Liberty State Park. Thin t-shirts billowed in the breeze, sharp jackets irreverently jutted this way and that. Like the show itself, the film is simultaneously an ode to the grit and glamour of 1970s New York City and an entirely new vision of rebellious liberation: a fitting prelude for the sharp, refined attitude expressed in the collection which followed.
