Culling through British craft, Jonathan Anderson looked to the works of English painters David Hockney and Patrick Caulfield for his explosively colorful fall line, perhaps his most successful collection to date for his eponymous brand. Crochet knits fabulously sat atop distorted landscape prints, as over the top embroidery reigned supreme everywhere else. Amidst the reverberating rainbow of heritage and attitude one thing was clear: Anderson has surely grasped his kingdom.

Mihara Yasuhiro

The possibility of time ponders itself in Mihara Yasuhiro‘s complex questions for fall. Is simplicity truly a standard if the pursuit of it is far reaching? Can it even be really defined? His responding collection, an existential extension of these asks, begs the same thought in military-inspired layering that seemed to know more than it let on.

Topman Design

A dual celebration of heritage and the need to distance oneself from it, or rather, travel, Topman‘s in-house collection reveled in the act of getting lost. Flamboyant club-kid attire—branded by words such as “Whizz,” “Rush,” and “Speed”—danced beside oversized mismatched tailoredwear. The end result: an outfit built by the wrong parts but in the best kind of way.
