Through a cold slither of a tail and a serpentine flash of light, the stark banality of a drained swimming pool metamorphoses into a world anew in Adam Csoka Keller‘s new short film for Gucci. Following the London artist’s Post-Soviet perspective, the piece seduces the dead air sparsity of Cold War architecture with the adolescent fearless of characters from a new time. Drunk in fantastical dazes, his creatures rebel against their concrete space, ritualistically trashing to lives re-found. The video, premiered exclusively by Document, is part of a day-long Snapchat take-over, #24HourAce, in which a group of international artists are showcasing special projects via Gucci’s social channel inspired the fashion house’s favorite sneaker. Echoing Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s radical viewpoint, the project expands across artistic expressions, social technologies, and time zones.
