For the upcoming Fall/Winter 2016 season, photographer Willy Vanderperre continues his close collaboration with Kris Van Assche, creative director of Dior Homme. Premiering as a panoramic background to the Paris runway show and now exclusive to Document, this film is a synthethis of Vanderperre’s aesthetic eye with Van Assche’s skatepark narrative on the runway. Soundtracked with 1980s songs, Als Wär’s Das Letze Mal by D.A.F. and Control I’m Here by British EBM group Nitzer EBB, nebulous black and white shapes undulate on screen with flashes of red; forms morph to reveal models—those walking the runway—dancing and jumping to the new wave tracks.
