Doug Abraham, NYC based collage artist @Bessnyc4, is a master of creating subversive images, mashing together fashion, pornography and art in an entirely masterful way.  His visceral, often confronting, images have amassed an Instagram following of over 126,000 followers keenly interested in his undoubtably playful take on fashion advertisements. It is not difficult to see why he has been coined the “Instagram Iconoclast”.

For his contribution to Document, Abraham draws inspiration from the beautiful cheapness of 80’s porn, with special attention to the grainy quality VHS brings.  The curated world of smut—fake tans, harsh lights, and carefully considered locations and costuming—provided an unlikely backdrop for the world of fine high-end jewelry. Click through the gallery above for the full story.
