At a glance, Repossi’s White Noise collection looks like a wearable audio-spectrum readout, though Corbusian architecture and Alexander Calder’s mobiles were also points of reference. “The idea was to create something freer with a feeling of looseness,” explains creative director Gaia Repossi. “The shapes follow your body, but kind of draw on it, as well.” The resulting line of rings, double-finger rings, cuffs, earrings, chokers, and longer necklaces — rendered in rose, yellow, or black gold, or black or fuchsia rhodium — is installed in New York’s Dover Street Market through September 4. “The choker reflects this oversize dynamic that I wanted to apply [to] the body,” Repossi notes. “I always wanted to produce very wide chokers and plastrons for the brand… The rose gold has a camouflage element that makes it very discreet, and with pavé diamonds, it has a subtle shine.“
